salou is not a very pretty place and the immediate area around the hotel is the tackiest bit . full of british style pubs. horrible eating places and counterfeit goods

A word about the theme park. You can walk to it in approx 15 mijnutes from the hotel. We bought a 14 day pass in the UK before we left for approx 60 euros. We have been to the park 4 days. Even now at the height of the season there are no undue delays for rides, less than at UK parks. The most is 30 minutes, many are much less. Dragon Kahn, the biggest ride with 8 loops, has a wait of 15 minutes even at weekends. It is all great fun. Take plenty to drink because it gets very hot.

first days

arrived late monday evening. after 15 min transfer. very quick checkin room on 4th floor at front of hotel. very good room with tv. best package holiday room we've had in europe but salou is a busy noisy resort and we were woken in the early hours by fighting outside between british yobs and locals broken up by police food is usual buffet and up to usual good sol hotel standard but not 4 star swimming pool not huge but big enough howver it is not open till 11 am

we are at the airport now and ready to go. highlight at the airport is the group of girls in "Salou 04" t shirts

Sent the email again, but still no reply.

Well we arrive next Monday, so we will see for ourselves what the hotel is like. I intend to update the blog by sending emails via my mobile phone, so I'll keep the blog up to date.
